The Lion Says:I work for MONEY.If you want LOYALTY get a dog!
I was wandering through my mailbox and going through some unofficial mails that I hadn’t checked over the past few weeks when I came across this wonderful anecdote. The story is simple but the underlying philosophy is wonderful. When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours in a day are not enough, remember this story of mayonnaise jar and the coffee.
A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first" he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."
The first leg of World Cup preliminary round is over. I have seen most of the teams but only a few teams have played to their full hype. In fact there have been some small teams who have shown their mettle. So far as a team Argentina and Holland have impressed me. Smaller teams like Equador, Ivory Coast, Switzerland and Tunisia have impressed me with their resolutions. Brazil who is the hot favorite to win the Cup have still not played to their full potential, infact without a few glittering moments here and there they have been colorless in their opening encounter. The saddest team has been the French team. They have last scored goal in the 1998 World Cup finals since then there has been a dry spell for them till this day in World Cup. I wonder what the likes of Zidane, Thierry Henry, Ribery doing, they cannot even score a goal. I feel excessive of club matches are taking a toll on this team. The other notable thing about this edition of World Cup is that the number of goals scored. So far quit a few spectacular goals have been scored. I guess the players are enjoying playing with ‘Teamgeist’ . Well so far the matches have been entertaining and I do hope to have lots of fun in forthcoming matches.
World Cup is on the way. We are witnessing a huge amount of goal in this World Cup. May be its due to the ball “teamgeist” or may be it’s because most teams are playing open football. There have been teams like Trinidad and Tobaggo, Australia, Equador that have proved that they are also ready for the challenges from the good teams. So far only Argentina have lived up to their reputation while most of the so called favorites have had a tentative start. The latest results are as follows:

Apart from these the other headlines that has caught my attention is:
